How Effective is Facebook Advertising

How Effective is Facebook Advertising

With over 175 million people signing into Facebook everyday, most of whom spend several hours per day browsing Wall posts, commenting friend’s pictures, and uploading content, many companies are trying their hardest to take advantage of Facebook’s enormous number of page views by placing advertisements on the right-hand side of the Facebook user interface. However, many companies are now questioning whether Facebook advertisements or effective or not.

Intuition

On one hand, Facebook advertising is effective because Facebook matches its ads to the user’s interests, based on their wall posts, pages they look at, and pages they “like”. Because of this, users only see advertisements for things they are genuinely interested in instead of seeing random advertisements that are being paid for, but not attracting any users. Likewise, if a user actually enjoys a webpage he/she sees because of Facebook advertisements, he/she can request similar ads to be displayed by “liking” the ad.

Non-intrusive

While pop-ups annoy the user and Google AdSense clogs webpages, Facebook advertisements are non-intrusive because they are off to the side of the Facebook user interface. This allows users to see advertisements through peripheral vision, but the advertisements do not interfere with the user’s activities. Because of this, users do not get annoyed at Facebook advertisements like they do with many other websites who try to force the user to see ads. By not upsetting the user and presenting advertisements in a way that is interactive but not intrusive, users are much more likely to click on ads.

Tunnel Vision

Although Facebook advertisements are intuitive and non-intrusive, they actually have a much lower CPM, or Click Per Million, rate than most other websites. This is because of a factor known as “banner blindness”, a form of tunnel vision in which users tend to subconsciously ignore banner-like information like advertisements. This phenomenon affects all age groups, but is much more common in younger Internet users, and is caused by simply getting used to seeing and ignoring web-based advertisements. While pop-ups and flash-based advertisements are annoying, they tend to be clicked on more than non-intrusive advertisements because they force the user to look at them.

How to Test a Laptop Battery

Posted on 22:23 by Unknown
How to Test a Laptop Battery

A laptop battery provides power for your laptop when it is not plugged in to a power source. The laptop battery is in your laptop. The power cord that you use to charge your laptop battery is called the AC Power Adapter. The laptop battery can only power the laptop for a limited amount of time before the battery loses power and has to be recharged with the AC Power Adapter.

The length of time the laptop battery lasts mostly depends on the applications and programs the user runs on the laptop. Other factors that affect battery life are battery age, size, type, and use. There are a few different tests you can perform to get an estimate of how long your battery lasts, and to see if it is time to replace the battery.

Test Battery Using Percentage

You can measure the amount of time remaining in your laptop battery by using the battery icon on the taskbar at the bottom right corner of your laptop screen. Most laptops will only give you a percentage of time remaining and not a specific amount of time remaining. While it is helpful to know what percent of your battery power is left, it does not let you know how long you have until your battery dies.

Follow these steps to test your laptop battery using percentage:

   1. Plug your AC Power Adapter into an electrical outlet, and then insert the other end of the AC Power Adapter into your laptop.
   2. Leave the AC Power Adapter in the laptop for 4 to 8 hours to allow it to fully charge the battery. Make sure the laptop is not powered on while the battery is charging.
   3. Remove the AC Power Adapter from the laptop. Then turn the laptop on.
   4. Record the amount of time it takes for the battery to use all of its power and shut down. Make sure to record from the time you take the AC Power Adapter out to the time the laptop battery dies. The time estimate will be more accurate if you run the programs and applications that you normally use on your laptop. For example, if you typically check your e-mail, play YouTube videos, and use Facebook applications, then perform those tasks while you record the life of your battery.
   5. Repeat Steps 1, 2, and 3.
   6. Hover your mouse over the battery icon that is on the taskbar at the bottom right of your laptop screen. When you hover your mouse on the icon, a small box will come up and state the percentage of battery power you have remaining.
   7. Now, when you use your laptop, you can convert the percentage of battery power remaining to a time estimate. For example, if your battery ran for 4 hours before dying when you tested it, and the battery icon says that the battery has 50% power remaining, then the battery will last for approximately 2 more hours. That same battery will last approximately 1 hour at 25%.

Test If Battery Should Be Replaced Using Battery Icon

If you want to test whether or not your laptop battery should be replaced, then you can follow some simple steps to test the performance of your battery. The completion of these steps will simply tell you if your battery should be replaced or not, as opposed to helping you estimate how long your laptop battery will last without the AC Power Adapter.

To use the battery icon to test if your laptop battery should be replaced, follow these steps:

   1. Follow Steps 1-3 above to fully charge your laptop battery and turn your computer on.
   2. Hover your mouse over the battery icon on the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen. Make sure your laptop battery is charged to 100%.
   3. Unplug the AC Power Adapter for 10 minutes and leave the laptop running. During this 10 minutes, run any applications or programs that you typically use on your computer.
   4. After the 10 minutes is up, check the percentage on the battery icon.
   5. If the battery lost more that 1% per minute, or in other words more than 10% in the 10 minutes, then the battery should be replaced.

TestNewLaptopBatteryModelsUsingLightMeter

Some newer laptop batteries will have a light meter. The light meter is located on the battery, and there is a button on the battery next to the light meter. You can use this light meter to test the life of your laptop battery.

To test the life of your laptop battery on a new model with a light meter, follow these steps:

   1.

Press the button once to see how charged the battery is. The more lights that show up, the more charge your battery has.
   2.

Hold down the button on your battery. The lights will come on and then they will go back off.
   3.

If the lights come back on then the battery is damaged to some extent. The more lights that come back on, the more the battery is damaged. So, if no lights come back on, then the battery is good. If all of the lights come back on, then the battery is bad.
   4.

If lights 1, 3, and 5 (both ends and the middle) flash, then you need to replace the battery as soon as possible.

How To Solve “Power Calibration Error”

The “Power Calibration Error” typically appears when you are attempting to burn a CD or DVD, and the burner fails to write the CD or DVD. The error might also appear as a “Medium Speed Error.”

There are multiple reasons that could cause the error, but the error is most likely to occur because the CD/DVD burner is not able to determine the Optimum Power Calibration rate. The Optimum Power Calibration rate is a test that is run before burning a CD or DVD to determine the optimal laser power needed to write the CD or DVD, and when this is not able to be determined the disk burn fails. The “Power Calibration Error” can also appear for minor reasons that can be easily fixed.

Options for Fixing “Power Calibration Error”

It is very difficult to figure out exactly what caused the “Power Calibration Error.” There are a few possible ways to fix it, so your best option is to try the different fixes until one works for you.

Use the options below to fix the “Power Calibration Error.”

1. A common reason for this error to appear is cheap blank media. Try using different brands of quality blank media to solve the error. Some good brands to use are JVC, Verbatim, and Falcon.
2. It is usually very effective to burn at lower speeds.
3. It is a good idea to check with Sony to find out if there is a firmware upgrade for your CD or DVD.
4. You can also try updating your CD/DVD burning software to the most recent version.
5. You can try cleaning the disk drive. Make sure there are no dust particles or bits of paper.

Error 0x800ccc79

Posted on 23:54 by Unknown
Error 0x800ccc79

Error ox800ccc79 typically appears in Microsoft Outlook when you send messages. The error message can also affect other messaging clients, regardless of the manufacturer. The error message usually states that your e-mail can not be sent due to Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) relay blocking. The specific wording of the message may vary, depending on your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

These error messages are becoming more common because ISPs are starting to take action against SPAM. Many ISPs are blocking SPAM by requiring that each user be dialed directly to their system in order to send messages through their SMTP gateway. This in turn affects users who access their e-mail account from another ISP.

The error message can be caused by a few different problems. The error message might appear if you try to send a message through an ISP’s SMTP gateway and you are logged on to a Local Area Network (LAN) that has an Internet gateway. It also might appear if you try to send a message through a different ISP’s SMTP gateway when you already logged on to an ISP. The error message can also occur if you try to send a message and you are using an ADSL or cable modem to get another ISP.

How to Fix Error ox800ccc79

The e-mail client does not cause this error message to appear. As a messaging client, there are no simple solutions for you to perform if your ISP is blocking all SMTP Relay traffic. The only viable option is to contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance.

A majority of the new SMTP e-mail gateway software allows relaying for specific IP addresses. This permits cable modem and ADSL users to continue using their same ISP. The provider of the cable modem or ADSL must give the customer a static IP address. This will let the customer’s e-mail ISP relay for that specific IP address. Corporate customers who access ISPs through their corporate LAN can seek banks of IP addresses to solve their problem.

It is a possibility that your SMTP server is checking whether the domain or the recipient name exists before it sends the message. This could be the case if the error message is random. The error message could be caused by the recipient’s e-mail server being temporarily down or unavailable. Your SMTP server may reject the relay if it can not verify the address. If this is the case, then no action is required. The message will be sent when the receiving server is up again.

How to Fix Error ox800ccc79 on the Microsoft Network (MSN)

The Microsoft Network (MSN) is an ISP that has imposed SPAM blocking. MSN has also set restrictions that cause SMTP blocking errors if the e-mail address in your Internet Account properties does not match the e-mail address in your MSN account. Other ISPs use similar strategies.

To send or receive messages through an additional ISP, LAN, or DSL and other connection devices through MSN, you must set your SMTP settings to secure. Your MSN e-mail server settings for a third-party connection, LAN, or DSL must be set to secure.smtp.email.msn.com.

How to Splice a Coaxial Cable?

Posted on 23:53 by Unknown
How to Splice a Coaxial Cable?

A coaxial cable can be spliced with a minimal set of tools, but some of them are specialized. They can be found at a local hardware store. You will need:

    * – Two F connectors
    * –A barrel connector
    * –A pair of diagonal pliers
    * –A coaxial cable stripper preferably, or a knife. A knife is not recommended.
    * –You will also need a coaxial crimping device for the F connectors.

Before you begin, you will also need to determine what type of cable you have. Check the marking on your cable for its designation. The most common types are RG6 and RG59. Other types of coaxial cable exist as well, but they are all designed in the same basic way.

If you can’t identify your cable, the simplest solution is to cut off a piece off and bring it to the hardware store. The alternative is to measure your cable. RG6 has a diameter of .274 inches and and RG59 has a diameter of .233 inches.

Step #1 – Strip the Cable

A coaxial cable is constructed differently than a typical cable. A coaxial cable typically has a black outer vinyl jacket. This is followed by a layer of metal mesh, provided as a shield. Inside that is a white dielectric insulator, followed by the core copper conducting wire.

When stripping the cable, be careful not to damage the innermost copper wire. Coaxial cable stripper are designed to ensure that this doesn’t happen, but precise measurements with a knife will work as well. After stripping the cable and exposing the copper wire, fold the metal mash back over the outer casing. This should leave the insulator intact and bare, along with the copper wire.

Step #2 – Attach the Connectors

While being sure not to damage the inner copper wire, slide each connector on to its respective end of cable. A small amount copper cable should be extending past the end of the each connector.

Step #3- Use the Crimping Tool

A coaxial crimping tool should have settings for both types of cables, RG6 and RG59. Select the appropriate setting, and insert the cable into the tool where it is marked for you to do so. Crimp, and repeat for the other side.

Step #4 – Connect with a Barrel Connector

You’ll notice each end of the cable is male, while a barrel connector has female endings on both sides. Connect each end of cable to the barrel connector by gently inserting, and tightening down the collar on each side.

If you are splicing a cable, always attach a cable of RG6 to another RG6 cable, and likewise for RG54. When done properly, a splicing will be entirely weather proof and last indefinitely outdoors.

How to Solve a Buffer Overrun Detected Problem

Posted on 23:52 by Unknown
How to Solve a Buffer Overrun Detected Problem

Buffer overrun detected problems may occur when unsafe data is permitted by software that is coded in C or C++. This problem can happen in all operating systems, but it is particularly common on Windows-based operating systems. The unsafe data that is introduced externally can exploit vulnerabilities in software or cause program crashes. This can permit malicious software to enter and harm your computer.

Buffer overrun detected error messages should be corrected as soon as possible to ensure that greater security issues do not arise. Follow the instructions below to solve the buffer overrun detected problem.

Instructions to Solve Buffer Overrun Detected Problem

There are a few steps to follow in order to fix the buffer overrun detected problem. The skill level of this solution is considered moderate, and it should be able to be performed by most users. These steps can only be performed on Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows XP.

Follow these steps to fix the buffer overrun detected problem:

   1. First you need to download the latest security patches, service patches, and hotfixes for your version of Windows. You can do this through the Windows Update service. There are a couple steps to follow to download these patches.

a. If you have Windows XP, then click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, then Windows Update. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, click on Start then Windows Update.

b. Select all of the important/critical downloads. Wait for Windows to download and install these updates. You may be prompted to restart your computer several times, depending on how many updates are available.

   2. If it is available, download and install a newer version of the non-Microsoft software. You can do this by accessing the integrated Check for Updates feature, or by visiting the software vendor’s website and installing the latest version.
   3. If your firewall is not currently enabled, then install or turn on your firewall. You can switch on the Windows Firewall by following these steps:

a. Click on Start and then Control Panel.

b. Click on Classic View in the left column if applicable. Double-click on Windows Firewall.

c. If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, then click Turn Windows Firewall On or Off in the left column. Then select On or Turn on Windows Firewall then OK. If you use Windows XP, then in the General tab click On.

After your firewall is enabled, it should block the ports that the potential buffer overrun exploiters will request when they transmit malicious data.

How to Solve Buffer Overrun Detected Problem: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

CyberLink Media Service, or Clmlsvc.exe, scans system files for new media files. If Clmlsvc.exe comes across a path that is more that 255 characters long, then it overflows the buffer. When this happens, you will see the following message on a computer that runs Windows Vista:

“Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Buffer Overrun detected!
Program: <program path>\CLML\CLMLSvc.exe

A buffer overrun had been detected which has corrupted the program’s Internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.”

This issue can occur when you install an application or install a Windows Vista service pack. It can also happen when you install a software update using Windows Update or Microsoft Update. The error could also occur when you upgrade your computer to Windows 7 from Windows Vista.

If you are performing one of the actions listed above, then the error message can be safely ignored. For example, if the error message comes up during the installation of Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2), then you can click on OK to close the error message box. The installation of Windows Vista SP2 will continue and SP2 will be installed correctly.

New Monitors can give life to an older PC

If you want to upgrade your computer, the new monitor is the easiest way to upgrade your computer, because if you have old monitor with new PC, your monitor slow down the system to download image on the screen. The main change with new monitor is the increased screen resolution, fast refresh rates in which a monitor will refresh a image on the screen.

If you want to change the refresh rate of your monitor, Right click on Desktop > Properties > Settings then open Advanced options. Here on the Monitor tab, go to Refresh Frequency list, Here you can change your Monitor frequency with new refresh rate. The default frequency setting of old monitor is 60 Hertz, but your monitor may support more than 60 hertz. First check your monitor manufacturer documentation about your monitor supports. The higher refresh rate reduces the flicker problem on your screen.

How to Transfer Pictures from Camera to Computer

Posted on 23:16 by Unknown
How to Transfer Pictures from Camera to Computer

Despite the significant increase in storage capacity on memory cards in digital cameras, most end users require the ability to transfer pictures from the camera to a personal computer. Once transferred, the pictures can be archived to guard against data loss, uploaded to social media sites, or further manipulated for printing or sharing with friends and family. The three most common methods to transfer pictures are to directly connect the camera to the computer, using an external memory card reader, or directly inserting the memory card into a built-in reader on the computer.

Steps to Transfer Pictures from a Cameral to Computer

Direct Computer Connection

Step 1 – Turn on the digital camera.

Step 2 – Connect the camera to the computer using the USB connector that was included with your camera at purchase.

Step 3 – Open Windows Explorer on a PC by pressing the “Windows” and “E” keys simultaneously. The camera’s memory card will display as an external drive that can be opened by double clicking the drive. Most memory cards will then have a default folder displayed that will need to be opened to view the picture files. Alternatively, Microsoft provides an Auto play Window that opens where you can click the “Open Folder to View Files” menu option to conduct the same task. Once opened, the files can be copied to a local folder on your computer for archival or further manipulation. Additionally, the Windows Auto play feature has an automatic import feature than can be used to import all pictures to the computer.

Step 4 – On a Mac computer, the cameral will appear as an icon on the desktop. This folder can then be opened to copy the files to your computer in a similar fashion as on a Windows computer.

Step 5 – After copying the files to your computer, unmounts the camera if required by your computer’s operating system by “Ctrl clicking” on a Mac or “Right Clicking” on a Windows computer and selecting the appropriate menu option.

Using a Memory Card Reader

Memory card readers eliminate the need to connect the camera to the computer, however, require an additional investment in the reader itself to use. Despite this, many users prefer to use multiple memory cards and upload via card reader at a convenient time.

Step 1 – Connect the memory card reader to the computer if not already connected.
Step 2 – Turn off the digital camera and remove the memory card.

Step 3 – Depending on the type of memory card being used, it may require an adapter to fit into the card reader slot. If so, insert the card into the adapter.

Step 4 – Insert the memory card into the card reader.

Step 5 – View and transfer the pictures to the computer using the same method(s) available under the direct computer connection.

Using a Built-In Memory Card Reader

Many laptops and desktop computers are now manufactured with built-in memory card readers. The reader is typically located on the front or side of the laptop and work similarly to external card readers. Although designed to fit most memory card standards, some built-in card readers do require the purchase of a memory card adapter to successfully read and transfer pictures from the card to the computer.

Buffer Overflow

Posted on 23:12 by Unknown
Buffer Overflow

A buffer overflow occurs when a computer application attempts to assign data in a data structure past the point that the structure is designed to store information. In the classic case, a buffer is designed as a sequential section of memory assigned to contain the information. The type of information can vary from an array of integers to objects. When information is stored outside of the allocated block of memory, the program can be crashed or computer malware can be executed.

Why Are Buffer Overflows Dangerous?

Buffer overflows are best known from the software security vulnerabilities they create. They are often used to attack new web and stand-alone applications as well as legacy programs. Although it is difficult to discover a buffer overflow vulnerability, a number of attackers have identified buffer overflow vulnerabilities in a variety of products and web resources. Once identified, the vulnerability can be used to execute computer malware on targeted computers putting end-user’s and companies at-risk of attack.
How Does a Buffer Overflow Work?

In the classic exploit, the person attacking the program or system will send information to the targeted application that is stored in an undersized buffer. The information on the call stack will be overwritten to include the return pointer of the function or method. The information sent by the attacker will set the value of the return point to transfer control to the computer malware or other malicious code stored in the attacking information. At the program architecture level, a buffer overflow vulnerability normally occurs when an attacker successfully finds a violation of the programming assumptions not caught by error checking or by faulty memory manipulation.
What Are Other Types of Buffer Overflows?

There are a number of other buffer overflow attacks that have emerged in addition to the classic case. These include the format string attack, off-by-one error, and the heap buffer overflow. Commonalities between the various types include programming code that relies on external data to control application behavior, complex programming architecture, and dependence upon properties of data enforced outside the immediate scope of the programming code.
How Can Buffer Overflow Attacks Be Used Against Web Applications?

Similar to traditional buffer overflow attacks, web applications are also susceptible to the attack. In the web app case, an attacker will send specifically designed data inputs to the app to cause it to execute arbitrary code in order to take over the web or application server. The attack can also be used to target application server products and can pose significant risk to the users of the product. Common web vulnerabilities to the attack arise when the apps rely on libraries to conduct work and in custom code that does not undergo significant error testing.
How Do You Guard Against Buffer Overflow Attacks?

The primary means of defense against a buffer overflow attack is to keep up-to-date on all computer application and web product updates. Failure to apply the most recent patches to products is one of the most common sources of vulnerabilities to buffer overflow attacks. If running a website, making use of commonly available scanners to analyze the site to identify flaws in custom or commercially acquired web products is another proactive step that can be taken to identify the vulnerability prior to exploitation by rogue attackers.

The Highest Paying Keywords in Online Advertising

The Highest Paying Keywords in Online Advertising

Do you know what kind of money advertisers are willing to spend on Google AdWords to reach out to potential customers? Well you may be a bit surprised to learn that CPC rates, or the amount that an advertiser pays to Google if a search user clicks on an ad once, can as high as $55 in certain categories.

WordStream,  an online marketing company, analyzed the most expensive keyword categories for online advertising and found that keywords related to Insurance, Loans, Mortgage, Attorneys and Credit were the most expensive with advertising costs ranging between $55-$45 per click.

In the tech domain, the high-paying keywords are around web hosting, conference call services, CRM / help-desk software and data recovery software.

The advertising rates for such niches are so high for two reasons – there’s plenty of competition among advertisers so they have to bid higher to outbid the other and second, the return after winning a customer is extremely high.

How to Fix the Unmountable Boot Volume Error Message in Windows XP?

A common error that occurs with the Windows XP operating system (OS) that results in a system crash is the unmountable boot volume error message. When the error occurs, it is an indication the OS is having difficulty starting or booting from the computer’s “C” drive. Due to the maturity of the Windows XP OS, the problem can be troubleshot and corrected without having to enlist professional assistance in most cases.

The unmountable boot volume error is commonly thrown when a hard drive has been connected with the wrong IDE cable. This can occur when changing out old hard drives on computer’s still running Windows XP when using a standard 40-wire connector cable to connect an UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) drive. Additionally, if the computer’s BIOS settings are configured to force the PC to use the faster UDMA modules, the error can occur requiring you to reconfigure the BIOS to load the default, “fail-safe” settings. Finally, a corrupted BOOT.ini file located in the root directory of the computer file system or boot drive can result in the error being thrown.unmountable boot volume windows xp fix How to Fix the Unmountable Boot Volume Error Message in Windows XP?

How to Restore iTunes Library?

How to Restore iTunes Library?

There are a number of reasons which require end-users to restore the iTunes library. These can range from purchasing a new computer, reloading an operating system, or suffering through a hard drive crash. Once the computer is restored, the iTunes program has to be reinstalled if not backed up via alternative means. Once installed, music contained in the previous iTunes library will not be restored automatically. In fact, if an iPod, iPhone, or iPad is connected and synched with the new installation of iTunes, the entire music library stored on the respective portable device can be lost. When iTunes was first released, third party software was required to restore the iTunes library; however, the process can be now be accomplished without purchase of additional software.

Steps to Restore the iTunes Library

Step 1 – Restore the computer from the event that resulted in losing the iTunes installation and multimedia library.

Step 2 – Download the appropriate version of iTunes for your computer’s Operating System (OS). After downloading the software, double click the installation file on a Windows computer to install on the targeted computer. Some configurations of the Windows OS will require that the user be logged-on as an administrator.

Step 3 – Connect the iDevice (iPod, iPhone, iPad) to the computer that contains the iTunes library to restore on the target computer. After connecting the device, do not allow it to synch with the iTunes application or all multimedia will be removed from the device.

Step 4 – If the purchased files were made on a different computer than the one being restored, select the “Store” menu option and then click the “Authorize Computer” menu option. The iTunes application will then ask for the iTunes account login and password to proceed with the authorization.

Step 5 – Choose the “File” menu button followed by clicking the “Transfer Purchases from iPod” menu choice. This option will be greyed out unless an iDevice is connected to the computer. *Note, if you have a mix of iTunes purchased multimedia and non-purchased files, ensure you skip this step and continue to step 7 or you may import duplicate copies of the purchased music and movies.

Step 6 – The music previously purchased from iTunes will now be transferred to the “Purchased” folder under the “Store” folder on the iTunes menu interface.

Step 7 – To recover additional multimedia files not purchased from the iTunes store, open the Windows Explorer by pressing the “Windows” and “E” keys simultaneously or by opening the “Finder” on a Mac.

Step 8 – Allow hidden folders to be viewed by choosing the “Tools” and “Folder Options” menu options. Then, select the “Show Hidden Files and Folders” menu option on a Windows computer. On a Mac, choose the “Applications/Utilities” folder and then open the “Terminal” application. Enter “defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE” followed by selecting the “Return” key. Finally, enter “killall Finder” to exit the Terminal application.

Step 9 – Open the “iPod_Control” folder on the “E Drive” followed by opening the “Music” folder.

Step 10 – In the iTunes interface open the “Advanced Preferences” menu and check the “Copy Files to iTunes Music Folder When Adding to Library” box if not selected already.

Step 11 – Choose the “File” and “Add Folder to Library” menu options on a Windows computer. On a Mac choose the “Add to Library” menu choice and select the “Music” folder on the iDevice opened in the previous step. Depending on the size of library stored on the iDevice, it may take some time to complete the restoration of the iTunes library.

Today tip about formatting your Hard disk partitions. When you ready to format you partitions, you have two methods to format a partition, you can work with default formatting and other quick format method.

When you first time format your system partition, you should use default method. This is slow and low-level formatting but with this method you can remove all data from the partition as well as the hard disk is scanned for bad sectors. Here you can fix your system bad sectors.

If you select the quick format method, you can save time but you can remove only data from the partition and does not scan the disk for bad sectors. If you sure about your hard disk health then quick format should be fine to remove data with in short time.
